I just got back from a 6 day vacation back home. I felt like i was in the movie Garden State.... everyone does cocaine now, everyone is pregnant/married, with the exception of about 4 of the people i know, everyone was a degenerate. I had to keep telling the same damn story over and over again about what i had been doing for the last year.
It was a very depressing event.... Now i think i am about to get into the Funeral phase of my life. That part usually between 22-26 where all your uncles, aunts, grandparents, friends parents, etc start dropping dead and you find yourself flying all over the country to watch people be put in the ground and wax nostalgic.

Yes, it definitely was a good one.
When I go home, I see the same shit, but it doesn't really suprise me since many of them have been on the slippery slop to nothing since high school.

Same here. Its why i dont hang out with 95% of my friends from high school...I see them once in a blue moon, and they're all doing OC's every night, and sniffing coke. Hell, 4 or 5 of them have died from overdoses. I'm all set with watching that shit happen.

Since I started dating Suffer, we have gone to blockbuster maybe ....20 times to rent movies. And every time, I try to rent garden state, because I know he'd like it. The kid refuses to watch this movie. I think it's more on principal now, because I haven't been able to force him to yet

Seriously....what the fuck is wrong with our generation (18-25)? Our parents worked hard and were comfortably middle class. And yet, 95% of us are fucking losers. It's like we regressed instead of progressed.

i have never seen the movie garden state. it was actually taped at the house of a girl i used to hang out with. but since i live in the garden state, I dont need to see it to know how crappy NJ is
