Does Salvia hispanica have any psychoactive properties?

Nope. But the seed of the plant (found in chia pets) not only provides weeks of entertainment for young and old alike (shameless promotional plug) but is also one of the best sources of nutrition in the desert. But for psychoactive properties it contains zero.

Like an ugly desert plant. Check out some search engines for pics. I'm too tired to look myself. Its native to the mid western deserts of the US, I believe.

I'de love to see some pics of the unidentified salvia. For some reason salvia's have started becoming kind of my thing. There everywhere, I tell ya.

I'm glad the seeds got there in tact, I was getting worried that they may not make it. In fact I had prepared another package just in case.

Yet another reason not to be my neighbor.
