Well I tried posting this in the mushroom cultivation but no one responded so here goes !!! Please respond!!! Ok I bought 2 Dung Brothers Rye Berrie bags, and when they come I plan to innoc, and either case with worm castings peat moss and vermiculate, or, go grab some horse crap ( or cow ) sterilize and mix together in a big rubbermade bin with 4-5 holes at top. Is this a good Idea???? What are ur Ideas??? Wich is better horse or cow crap??? Please respond!

Calm it down dude, i'll respond but first you've got to realize that asking help for a 2 page procedure and resume it to 3 lines of specific help is not the best way to ask for help, just give some more details on what you plan to do.

Sure, everybody would do the same thing.

Well, you can case the COLONIZED berrie bags with a top layer consisted of those materials, the most common is 50/50 (verm/peat moss) and there's also casings with worm castings, you can mix the 3 of them but i really don't know because i never got interested in doing it.

Here's the confusion, this step MIGHT be done before casing and consists in using the colonized rye berries as a spawn to colonize the sterilized horse or cow crap, this way you have to wait untill the new substrate (crap+colonized berries) is also colonized and then case it.

You can case the colonized substrate in a big rubermaid bin with holes for air exchange or case it in smaller bins inside a terrarium with whatever humidificaton you want, you just have to be more familiar with the several techniques and their specific procedures, there are several ways to make casings, but i leave that info as a homework for you ;).
