Bugs on Outdoor Shrooms?

If i grow a patch of mushrooms outdoors, is it safe to just pick them and eat them fresh, or will there be bugs and shit on them?

you'll probably have trouble with bugs but it's easy to lure and trap them, a
couple of pie tins of beer wile take care of slugs which tend to be the most common

Let the slugs feast...when they least expect it... salt them and ingest them for a more "grounded" trip.

lol, i like the salt approach, salting those little bastards has always been a fine past time...

Anyways, yeah, i would set up some kind of mass lure around them , to keep the creepy crawlies away, and keep your precious mushies safe, and, always clean them, no matter how clean they look(better safe than eating something bad)

seperate cap from stem, wash it off with a gentle flow of warm water is my guess, picking off any foreign things
i could be wrong tho, as harvesting isnt my field of expertise, if I even have one
