Ha, that's great. I love old casting jobs. How are the seals? I'd love to know the history of that beast.
It reminds me of the old tritonia diving suits for some reason...

Have you tried adjusting those valves to get a lower setting?

how its it killing grain? maybe you are just puting to much water in the jars if thay are all poping you just have too much water in the jar. what are the numbers on the gauge? psi ,ksm ? does it work? you can get a new gauge for about $15 if the gauge s not working you should not use it. what kinda presser wheght does it have?

No wonder, setting 2 is almost 30 P.S.I. and it's roasting your grains.
Check out this converter, you want around 1 bar or just under:

Yes, you want the same moisture content for bags that you use with jars.

Buy & install an accurate PSI pressure gauge on that old buzzard. Good investment & you will not be toasting your spawn to krispy critters.
I would also buy & install a 30 psi pressure relief pop/off valve on it. So - it cannot blow up & kill you.

uhm, sorry to ask agian but im very unsure and i dotn really have all the metric stuff at hand so do you think theres a proportion of water i could add that would be aproximately decent for the pcing, like for example half of the grain with water ?
thats like 800 gms of pop corn in there

soak or simmer the grains as opposed to adding the water to the grain and then PCing
