Hey all! I've got many jars soon ready to birth and I'm gonna put my terrarium together over the weekend. I'd like to test it before the first birthday - is there anything I could put in it to see if water droplets will form on it, the same as could form on the shrooms? I'd really like everything to be perfect, as so far it is going since I have all 12 jars going strong, no contams (knock on wood) and I'm using an ultrasonic humidifier. Thanks!

all you need is to coat the lid of your grow chamber with patrolium jelly and you won't have to worry about water droping onto the mushrooms.

Uh, I meant so water droplets don't FORM ON the mushrooms, like from it being too humid...

OK, there seems to be some confusion, no one seems to be understanding me: I do not have birthed rice cakes yet, and I'm going to construct the terrarium over the weekend. BEFORE I put any cakes in, is there anything (a substance, object, whatever) that would react similarly to the cakes/mushrooms once they're in there, in terms of how easily water droplets would form on it if the humidity were too high? I have a hygrometer, so I can make sure it's not too low, but since I'm going to be using a timer to control the ultrasonic humidifier, and I want to make sure the time (1/2 hour, the minimum) that I leave it on for will not cause things to get too humid. Thanks!

it doesnt matter..you want your humidity as high as you can get it with cakes anyway..now when you start casing thats when you need more control..
some say the end is near some say we'll see armagedon soon..certainly hope we will..i sure could use a vacation from this stupid shit.
