Hi, I'm thinking of growing some shrooms, I hear you can use soil, and I'm thinking of trying this... I hear this also remouves a lot of the sterility concerns.. If someone could write up some good instructions for me I'd really appreciat it. Only problem is, I live at home, with my parents, so this has to be fairly stealthy etc. Please get back to me or add me to msn Slax0r@Hotmail.com

Maby trying telling your parents that you are growing mushrooms as a hobbie but dont say anthing about drugs. Moreover, if they ask for some say that they are a hobbiests "beginner" mushrooms that are the easist to grown and ment for a starting mycologist to grow with first and are not edible, or something. That might help a ton! Being able to pressure cook, boil, make syringe, incubate jars and fruit mushrooms without hiding it from your parents helps greatly! if not, I suggest you wait!

maybe you shouldnt be growing in your parents house. maybe you should wait til you have your own place, and for now show some respect to the people raising you and paying for your existence so that their possessions arent in jeopardy?

Hello and welcome:). Soil is not a good casing layer to use, nor a good substrate. You need to use a more nutritious substrate. Like birdseed, or Brown rice. there are many different teks on the growing page. Read through them and pick one which sounds easy to you. Then ask any questions on that tek. bluhoney

Their possesions etc wouldn be in jepordy, shroom growing etc is legal here. As is possesion of mushrooms, just as long as they arn't cooked/dried (ie; prepaired).

I also live w/ my folks and i am just beginning to grow. I was going to tell my mom but decided not to try to hide it and not tell her b/c she would wig out. Well she wigged out anyhow and threatened to kick me out. you should def. tell ur parents if you can or just hide very carefully.GOOD LUCK :>)
