TX Psilocybe Cubensis pics + drying question
    #3980439 - 03/28/05 01:40 PM (19 years, 4 days ago)

here they are..found them while driving by a field..didn't even have to get out of the car to spot them! sorry for the bad field pic but I had to hop the fence, take the pic, then run back on the other side with the shrooms all while cars were passing by so I didn't have a chance to take a perfect shot. Some more pics at home follows. Now a quick question on drying. I don't feel like eating them now so I want to dry them for later. What I did was put these shrooms in a rubbermaid container on the left end then on the right end, I filled the container up with desiccant. There is no divider or anything separating the shrooms from the desiccant but I did keep them from touching it. This is stored in my dark closet. Will this be sufficient enough to keep them for later? Or will I need to do something else? I usually eat them in the field or as soon as I get home but I have work later and don't wish to go in tripping. Thanks in advance as I am an experienced picker but a complete noob to drying techniques.

need to get them seperated from the desiccant man, you cant always be sure that they are completely separated if theyre just on different sides of the container like you described; also, make sure your closet is cool and dry, darkness wont necessarily help.
the way i alway dry them is by just setting them someplace and letting a fan blow on them, but thats not the best method (i just dont have anything else to dry with).
