I didn't see you sign up...except to criticise someone else of course...as expected.

Why does a human need to admit he/she is human? That seems rather silly at best or highly neurotic at worst.

Should we next publically admit that the sun is hot?

I will admit it....!!!    ::::waving hands in the air::::    I have had a past girlfiend that was in the likeness of Angelina, only, she was not as visually "perfect", or stunning as Angelina herself :heartpump:....    And, I had not known about her because maybe she wasn't on "the scene" yet back at that time...(?)    I always thought Angelina was fascinatingly mysterious....  Perhaps it is the confidence that she exudes....  Perhaps she will change the world when she finds the right man to stand strong beside her(**IF** she is single and all?)....
:flowers:
.
Confidence in a woman is ALWAYS attractive to me, It is one of those things that adds to a woman's natural beauty....    Before just recently, I was not confident in myself -- I would have cowered at the site of such beauty and strength in real life....     My how things change....!    Perhaps I will talk to her later today....(?)  Perhaps I already know her, but just haven't confirmed it yet....(?)
.
.
My headache is gone now....  Not that this has effected my day, but it was perplexing -- I ain't had a headache in a while.....  Perplexing indeed....    Maybe this post will make calm for others....
.
Have a WONDFULLY LOVING AND JOYOUS DAY PEOPLE OF EARTH.....!
(And to Angelina herself, if she is listening.....)

"If one doesn't recognise ones own downfalls then how may one progress?"

If one only recognizes the downfalls of others one will NEVER progress.

Being human is not a fixed characteristic, it can mean a lot of things, I never started this thread thinking what I described means to be human, it doesn't, it means to be me

True, but it cannot mean being non-human.

This is indeed true. In my case I am always analysing my downfalls.

hey, I bet some people think Swami will never progress because he will never admit to being imperfect or whatver...

I think it's equally fallacious and dangerous to be falsely modest. I think that's one of my main downfalls. The middle path is prolly the right one, but how is anyone to know which path they're on? fuck it all

"I think it's equally fallacious and dangerous to be falsely modest."

You guys might be pretty damn pathetic, but I am much more irrational, ignorant, and unenlightened than anyone here. There is no way anyone can even come close. No one can touch me.

If you are satisfied and free from suffering, then you are doing the right things. Pain is the number one indicator that something is amiss. Analyze the root of the suffering and deal with it. No books, no esoteric philosophy or religion, just self-examination.

If you are stuck with a thorn, do you make a BIG mental production out of it or do you merely remove it?

good point. But sometimes things are more complicated than that, you have to admit.

Like maybe you should look at your whole route throught the woods, and avoid that thorn patch. But then you'd have to go the long way to gramma's house, through the swamp, and you might get eaten by an alligator, etc.
