FOAF has Mexicube grown on rye cased with coir/verm. Been about 2 weeks since initially cased. He has high hopes for the first two becuse the substrate depth has to be around 3-4 inches wish should give him mucho flushes.
Will be posting more pix as they move along.
Edit: [Mar 28]
Out of the perlite pod and into the ultrasonic chamber! FOAF got his fogger today, it is workin su-preem-o.
_________________________________________________________________ [Mar 26]
Pins progressing nicely, FOAF got a few beaners off of the one casing he popped out of the container. Not very big but they will be plentiful.
Need some ID help...once again stoned FOAF forgot to label his bags. He believes B+, EQ, and Mexicub exist, but now he really can't remember how many casings he had of each.
Definitely suspect these being EQ
Pretty sure this is B+, i picked a couple today with very tan caps.

Yes this casing is a little dry but she's still pinnin!

Heheh hell no...it's just myc grown weird because the casing is kinda dry. It's all poofy like cobweb because the only moisture it's really gettin is in the air.
Prolly not going to get very big yields on that one, it is dry because it pulled away from the sides and I needed more verm in my casing mix.

I did a heavy misting like 4 days ago b4 pins but it keeps dryin out on me, what should I do I don't want to hurt the pins! Should I just fill in the sides where it pulled away and give her a light misting? One area no pins are showing up at all and I'm quite sure it's because of the dryness.
Like I said my casing mix was a little mest I think I used 60/40 coir/verm instead of 60/40 verm/coir.

Gently misting will not hurt pins. Dehydration will.

Instead of misting, which projects large and heavy water molecules onto the fragile surface of the mycellium, try injecting water into the casing with a syringe and needle. It would help if you remembered (or check your notebook) how deep the casing is, you could put the water right at the half-depth point. If you spread a layer of damp verm at the bottom of your container befor laying the substrate/casing, inject the water there. If you didn't do that, try it next time.

Ones that were dried out I sprayed water in the sides...seemed to hydrate them well but pins were already formed so they won't get much fatter but I still have a lot of the little buggers.
Two contams....had to cut out half of one but she's still pushin and might make it, think I nabbed the contam that started in the corner of the other one.
After I get the suckers dunked for next round I think I will have much betta results, especially since they will be in my new chamber from the start.
