    #3980347 - 03/28/05 03:15 PM (13 years, 1 month ago)

Im trying to find them in my area but I dont know how to tell the difference between any cacti. What are some characteristics that stick out with Trichocereus peruvianus.

well... www.erowid.org would show you some pictures of them. or even a google search. i can't really describe them in terms that they have big long spikes because a lot of cacti do.

It's not that easy unfortunatly. You could have 20 specimens that all look different and could carry the label Trichocereus peruvianus.

This was a reply for the thread starter.

I would just buy some off of an Ethno site, already identified and ready for planting.

no, even if they do, the alkaloid content would be considered too low, compared to the pachanoi, and peruvainus, or even bridgesii

i assumed stealing or stores. Since wild growth is out of the question unless it's introduced growth.
