Out door cultivation.. will it work, maybe, maybe not
    #3979086 - 03/28/05 03:56 AM (11 years, 8 months ago)

OK so I've been thinking about cultivating shrooms for quiet some time so i decided i will order everything once i get my pay check and what not.. Ive also done quiet a bit of hunting so today as i was walking past my regular fields looking at several patties for shrooms i realized nothing had been out in three weeks or so... So i started wondering after reading moes outdoor tek. Could you get a old pattie with mycelium still on it and put it in more suitable conditions for instance, water everyday, hay, and or another suitable compost in order to have mushrooms when you want them.. Now I'm not being eager, i just want to know by your opinion if this could be done by using moes tek except for the fact the cake would not be there.. but a mycelium containing cow pattie.. Any ideas?

That's basically a cake (Substrate)

Mushrooms grow outside, why wouldn't it work :smirk:

Yea, just need to use straw and pasturize it and if u use patties that smell like ammonia(sp?), then you need to leech them and then pasturize.....GL
