clearing the pateurization window

a couple qts were spawned to some separately pasteurized and layered comp cow crap/straw.

i realize how retarded i am for not using the H, but it's too late for this spawn.

it has been some time now and it is not fully colonized. i am concerned that the pasteurization of the poo will only last so long, and that contams will soon be an issue.

would i be wise to apply a casing layer early as protection?

i was reading a cyan project by oligualion's "dude" and he had a problem with a couple of bags of crap and their moisture content.
he said that he understood pasteurization windows and that if it did not colonize soon, contams would surely set in.

his his remedy for the situation was to remove them from their bags and place them into a container to expose them to more air. as my dude's is in a rubb container anyway, i do not see this would help me. (plus, it has layered straw underneath and i cannot risk exposing it.

???
