If I birthed a casing to early, can I put it back in the incubator?
    #3966650 - 03/24/05 11:05 PM (11 years, 8 months ago)

I had aggressive growth on a casing that had broken thru the top layer. It had been in the incubator 4 days, I birthed it 3 days ago and now the mycelium has not grown any more. I'm thinking I birthed it to soon.

Would it be beneficial to place it back in the incubator? Would it be bad? I'm concerned because it has been getting 12h of light a day and the temp. has dropped 14 degrees since I put it in the terrarium.

Thanks for any help!!!!!!!

That's plenty of time in the incubator. From the sounds of things, vegatative growth has halted, so putting it back in the incubator won't accomplish much now.

If the casing layer concerns you, patch it very lightly. Other than that, keep up fruiting conditions and just wait.
