Duality and The Way

Humans model themselves on earth, Earth on heaven, Heaven on the Way, And the way on that which is naturally so. -- Laozi (Lao Tzu)
ok, we model ourselves on the earth which itself is modeled on heaven, or duality. Me and other, good and bad, heaven and hell. so, The way would be conceptual understanding of that which is naturally so, or understanding how everything exsists with everything else, without good you cannot have evil. so INTELLECTUALLY you may begin to understand ultimate truth???
and that which is naturally so cannot be experienced in our earthbound counciousness.

thoughts are like leaves on a plant. flat limited the forest extends wider than all the leaves and the land extends farther....
what am I saying? think well but don't expect understanding from thoughts, more from connection and hanging in there (endurance).

yeah. the thought wrought mind would only begin to understand the connection between everything, and that everything is one, but it cannot experience it.
maybe

Lao Tzu is saying that there exists certain fundamental laws, or principles of nature, or the universe. These are above man, planets, gods if there happen to be any. These laws are present throughout the universe in several manifestations and govern how it is that things are and act. To get a clearer picture, it is not to be thought of as an entity or a self-awareness, but simply the way things must be due to these fundamental 'laws', which may be an accident or not, it is not relevant in this context.

your statement makes sense, tho, i wouldnt use the term "above" to describe where these laws are.
unfortunatly i dont see how your statements and the original posters are connected.

It appeared that he was asking for an explanation of one of Lao Tzu's famous sayings, which I attempted to give as best as I could.
What I intended to get across when using the word 'above', is that they are laws which govern those 'below'. Simply look at your own quote, I believe the essence of what I was trying to say gets across pretty clearly, the words aren't very important. Anyhow, it's a conceptual location, not a physical one, but instead something which is present throughout the universe.
