hey all, well this is my first time posting and im looking forward to an enjoyable and informative time with you all. Its march 25th and its been pretty rainy and cool over here in Japan (near Hiroshima) and i have been told that now is a good time to go hunting. Unfortunately that is all I have been told and I would greatly appreciate any and all help you all could give. I did a search on threads in Japan and i read the ones here, but information about the current date would be greatly helpful. thanks all and if you have any questions whatsoever i would be happy to answer them! thanks, good hunting

If I was you, I would try to find out what all of the active mushrom species are in your area. Once you have a list you can look up what habitat they grow in, and the seasons they pop up. Also, it might be better if you ask more specific questions. Don't forget to check out the "Mushroom Hunting" FAQs.
-------------------- In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion.
There are several well known speci9es in japan which are psilocybian. Psilocybe argentipes is all over and there are numerous posts here in the shroomery with images regarding them. Psilocybe subaeruginascens is also common and several others. There is a list of world-wide known species linked in the shroomery somewhere.
