Calea Zacatechichi (Dream Herb)

I've been searching high and low to find a place to get Calea Zacatechichi seeds or live plants. So far I can only find places that sell dried foliage or extract. Does anyone know where I can find what I'm looking for? Preferably in Canada, but as long as they can ship it here that's all that really matters.

Well if anyone is looking for live Calea plants in Australia their in luck, they can be ordered here: http://www.shaman-australis.com.au/Website/Shamanmainpageframeset.htm
For those not in the "Land Down Under" though, I did find this post about a seed ring, although the posts are dated to 2001, so I'm just hoping it's still running. http://www.shaman-australis.com.au/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=000666

Thanks Chemical Bliss, I think I will.
Does anyone else know much about growing Calea from seed? From what I understand it is tough. Thus, I plan to get a lot of seeds so I can at least have 1 or 2 plants. I'm not sure when I should order them, I'm thinking it'd be good to get them started indoors maybe in April sometime here, and then plant any seedlings in May.
Shamans Palace gives you 20-25 Seeds Per Pack, and it looks like you can only drop the bar down to order 2 packs for $7, but maybe I can just keep ordering sets of 2 packs and add them to my cart. I read somewhere about a guy planting 200 seeds, and only getting a few plants to sprout, so I think I want to aim for the 200 seed range, which would be at least 10 packs for $70.

Ah, it's good to be back posting, been away for two months!
Anyway, my calea plant is starting to fight back after winter. To cut a long story short, over the past couple of months (I should stress that they were not under my care at the time!) I had all but one die, and it is looking a bit weak, but is showing signs of growth, so I hope it will pull through... IF it does, then in a couple of months I will hopefully be able to sort people out with cuttings, since it is a pretty fast growing plant but I don't have the room to let it grow too big. I'll let you guys know if/when I have cuttings available...

it can be grown from seed but it seems viability is usually poor. >>some info
the SAB seed rings are still running, but, most pages/species lists have been abandoned and moved to the forums. i think there is work being done to try and create a central meeting page with database linking all the different states/seed rings together.
should be great when finished.

I have to agree with Chemical_Bliss on Shaman's Palace. He's got some great extracts and a nice selection of seeds as well.

I ordered some psychotria viridis and didn't think it was that good at all. Also the first time I ordered they gave me these free bee's and the next time I got nothing extra even though I ordered 4x the price of the last order? I was sorta expecting to get some free bee from the last experience. Nevertheless, I did have something missing in a package and it was just a phone call away from getting that item in a few days. Overall bouncing bear is great, but I just think the viridis I got is worthless.

You should try ordering seeds intended to be planted, the viability of seeds taken from some dried herb is sketchy at best.

The only places I found to buy live Calea plants are in Australia, and they don't recommend shipping the live plants internationally. I just ordered seeds from Shamans Palace.
