Hey this is my first post so bear with me..
ive looked on this site for much of my info but only just decided to join up,
So anyway ive grown C.mexicana in a few kits before but i thought it about time to try and start from scratch so i did, by following the pf tek for simple minds word for word, and i don?t know if its me just being paranoid but its been a week and there?s been no more growth other than this 1cm radius spot of bright white mycelium the temperature is at the optimum and i don?t know if im just being impatient or there is anyway i can temp it to spread, i apologise in advance for any rambling that may of occurred but im just trying to explain what  i mean.
any help would be great.

One spot in one jar? Of how many? How old were the spores?

Yeah in just one spot in the jar, and just the one jar, and as soon as i received the spores i set to work so i can only assume there fairly recent

Did you shake the syringe well before inoculation?
Were the jars cool before inoculation?
Do the jars have any smell(without lifting the lid)?

certainly did to break up the clumps,
and the jar was left over night to cool
and no the jar doesn't have any smell at all (out of the ordinary)
I'm soo  :confused: ??

has the substrate under gone a darkening or lightening in color and is it really loosely put into your jar?

nope similar color as it always was but i guess it could be a little loser although i wouldn't call it compact? sorry i cant be any more descriptive?

Sounds like the syringe wasn't very viable then...

How much suspension did you inoculate per hole and did you inoculate against the glass?

About how long did you wait for the jar to cool down from pressure cooking???

i inoculated about 2ml per hole,
and i did inoculate against the glass and i left it over night to cool would it matter if i didn't PC as i couldn't get one at the time so i steamed it for 1.75hrs to be sure

you need to wait about 5 hours...or till the jars are normal temp...
