Finished PCing think I over...

estimated my needs. Holy crap seven quarts is a lot of substrate. I figured it cost me pretty much nothing extra to do seven instead of one or two.

I used seven quart jars with two holes drilled in the lid. Then I fitted a tyvek filter disk on top of the jar from mailing envelopes. Stuck the lid and ring on top and screwed it all together. Finally I PCed at around 17psi for 90 minutes. We'll see how they are in maybe an hour after it cools down completely.

What do you (whoever) normally use to seal the injection site? I was planning on either tape or a dab of glue if I have any.

PS. Seven quarts is a shitload of substrate, figure I'll use 1.2cc/jar.

Everything you've done sound fine. a little to heavy on the pressure , but no biggie. I let my jars cool enough where I can handle them after the pc. And then I give them a good shaking to break up the grains. Allow them to cool completely and shake them again. This will disperse the h20 that has condensed from the cooling process. It really helps to do this, thus preventing wet spot. Much better colonization times. I use 4-6 cc's per qt jar for innoculations of any kind.

Normally I fill the injection site hole with a polyfil plug, before screwing on the lid. Good LuckPeace,Love,Happiness and Harmony.
