 Careful with those PCs

Just had the sheeit scared out of me.
Put the pc on the stove.
Set stove just below high to start it up.
Got really busy and heard the pc jiggiling, thought I had turned the stove down to proper setting.
Walked in the kitchen to get something, then BOOM!
I thought she blew. Thank God for overpressure plugs!
I hit the ground like a grenade went off

Now the pc won't go over 12psi without blowing the plug.
WTF?

Yeah being careful with those things is a high priority for me.I could imagine aluminum shrapnel all in my face and guts. haha

But this is its second run.
BUT I did fall asleep last night on its first run and it ran dry for about 1 1/2 hour. (I know bad bad bad, but I checked everything out and it still looks good)
Do you think this would've messed up the plug?
The plug doesn't look dried up or anything. Its still real rubbery.
Think maybe it shrunk it when it ran dry?
Anyways, ordered another damn plug.

what brand of pressure cooker is it?
some hardware stores carry certain pressure cooker parts.
you might check a few places...it could be faster than waiting on a mail order.

My new AA 930. 
Was a little too buzzed to be playing with it last night
I've looked around in the past and haven't found any stores close by that have All American canners or parts.

yeah AA parts are hard to find...locally.
I always buy a spare over pressure plug...to keep on hand.
