In the MMGG there is a recipe for bulk substraight, This calls for Whole grain rye. So I go to the local health stores and ask for whole grain rye, and they show me something called Whole rye berrys. Is this the same thing? They were brownish, and looked kinda like rice.

Yes, whole rye berries are good to use. I use 100 g rye and 105 g water, pressure cooked for 1 hour.
