How did the green get in the jars

I have tiny specks of green in a few jars and am trying to troubleshoot.
One thing I did is turn the jars over and remove the tape after the sides colonized. I did use a verm barrier, but I wonder how the green made it past. It has hit 2 strains from 2 sources, so I don't think it is the syringe.
Ideas?

it's pretty easy to tell how the contamintants got in. if it starts at the top of the jars under inoculation points, it probably found its way thru the verm. this sometimes happens to my jars if i've left them around for a long time. if it shows up under inoculation points but further down, it's probably your syringe. if it shows up in places that your spore or mycelial solution hasn't touched, it's probably that your jars weren't totally sterile after boiling/PCing.

You know what- I think the green is showing up at or a little above the innoculation points.
