musician claims she is able to taste sounds...

http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/science/03/03/taste.sounds.reut/index.html

this article is about a female musician who can taste and see music. It's pretty strange that they didn't mention how this effect is associated with psychedelics...

Apperently why the happens is the actual phyical area in you're brain devoted to sensory perceptions are right next to each other. Apperently if one of them get's overstimulated the signal can spill over in to other senses.

This has happend to me first while on acid. But now I program visuals and write music, so to a large degree I see music now, but because I have traned myself to think of music visually.

Some people are born with "crosswired" senses. As Catalyst said it is called synethesia. It is a rare condition. Psychedelics mimic this condition. I posted an article about this in the pub awhile back. I saw an article(might be the same one, I cant get it to load) on livescience.com about it. It is pretty damn cool tho. Peace

I tried looking for the thread with a link to the shape or sight of music, I'm sure some of you remember it.

It was research that showed shapes made in sand with beats. link me if you can, I found this thread on my search, but not the one I'm looking for.
