3 cc's per jar

my friend just tried putting 3 cc's into each jar instead of 1. Sometimes even 4. I was just wondering if there are any downsides to doing this or if she might run into trouble. Will this make colonization quicker and stronger? Lemme hear your input.

Over innoculation can but not always cause faster germination and mycellium growth. There are no downsides to using more cc's per jar other than your syringe runs out faster. In the long run it is best to give them the normal 1cc per jar as to stretch your syringe out further. Ofcourse, if you are making your own syringe from spore prints that you took it is really no problem because it is all free anyways.

the only downsize is that you use more spore water per jar, thus needing more syringes...
it seems to work fine. i basically do perfectly with 1cc per jar... two at the most...

I like the 2cc per 1/2 pt jar myself. .5cc's per innoc point seems to do me better.
I wonder though, if too much water is injected, can it cause contams do to stagnation?

Too much water can throw off your substrate ratio.

I throw about 5-6 cc's per qrt jar of rye in 8 spots and one down the center. (making my own syringes from my prints). Colonizes fast (2 weeks) and never had a problem. Started out buying syringes and doing the .5 cc per hole but it took forever!
