Depends on the circumstances i guess. Some people just talk to themselves for comfort. It could also be apart of a psychosis. If it is a concern then one should seek help. It's not uncommon and I'm pretty sure that psychologists have a range of reasons for why people develop these behaviors.

dude i totally think that way. I think like i am watching myself in my head. As if i have one side of my head watching me do the things i do. Some people have it and some people dont. Do you have dyslexia? People with dyslexia have there thinking processes wired differently. I have bad dyslexia and the doctor says i think things more in a cameras prospective which causes such behaviors. Im serious.

I think it's easier to scold yourself in the second person

"I'm such an idiot"
"Wysefool, you're such an idiot"
"Wysefool is an idiot"

It's like you're putting yourself down but since you did it in second person you get to put yourself down AND you get put down. I guess they cancel out or something

Yeah, I talk to myself all the time like, ok, here I am gettin into another thread, Eve69, do I really have the time?  I gotta go shoppin, I'll answer him because I dodn't want him to think he's nuts.

It's called Buddhi. It's the sum of your mental processes giving you the overview. Prolly what the West calls a soul. Don't ignore yourself. Be your self. Just be. :mushroom2:

Try talking out loud to a friend in third person. It's like some sort of mental switch that makes you do it. I'm not sure really how to look at it, I smoking and doing coke that night also. So i'd just like to think that it had to be the drugs.

Makes me want to stay off of them for good.

Peace,
Droz

Referring to yourself in the third person in your head...

Is fun!
