cover on or off?

Hi,

I just inoculated my jars, removing the aluminum foil as I did it. The jars are now sitting in a box with no covering over the holes in the lids. Is this OK? Or will it cause too much moisture loss? Thanks.

i dont tape my jars ever. i even pressure cook them without tape. i do cover them with foil and remove the foil once i see them starting to colonize...
is all preference and whatever works best for you i guess
