I once knew this guy. I would call him a man, but I don't know that he had crossed that line of distinction. He thought he could flow, with the raps and the rhymes. He couldn't, yet he tried so. I almost felt sorry for him. Apathy quickly set in, though, and I just giggled. I haven't seen him in years, but I hope he discovered a more realistic calling.
People make mistakes. I must have thought I was immune to this tricky business. That only made it hit harder. I make mistakes, too. I make a lot of mistakes. I'm almost like a clown who forgets to put on his big clown shoes. The children get sad and think, "Hey! He's just a pretend clown!" How do you know you haven't ruined their lives?
As a whole, people seem unwilling to forgive. I always think to the litigation brought upon neighbors. "My child fell into your fence. I want TEN dollars!" Children hurt themselves, we move on. Far worse things have happened. Hardships aren't the end. The end is when we are unable to accept people fuck up.
I make mistakes. Do you?
This post was brought to you by the embellishment of something done out of stupidity. May I never forget. May I eventually forgive.
There was a time when I couldn't flow very well. I'm much better now. It's all in the time and effort one puts into it.
Of course, some people just aren't meant to do some things... If he tried and tried and really truly applied himself yet got nowhere, no improvement, perhaps it would be time it let it lie and move on to other things. This of course, applies generally to everyone and everything in their endeavors. Certainly try try again, but know when to hang up the towel.
