lophophora peyote question
    #3945344 - 03/20/05 07:14 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

I am a new grower.
I have three week old sprouts, like little green bulbs with some hair-like spines on the tips. How long before these start taking on their more recognizable shape with ribs? other changes?

They always have fuzz but you notice it more when they are tiny. Give them enough light but no direct sun for the first few years. If they get brown or red, too much light. If they get tall and spindly, not enough light. Water them frequently the first few months and then let the soil get good and dry before watering again. If you see mold spray with neem oil.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.” (attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville political philosopher Circa 1835)
