This is 2005, aka The Future. Time is money, and life moves fast in this day and age.

This is MONTHLY income, dudes. Any of you really make more than $5,000 in a 30 day period?!?! If so, can I come hang out in your swimming pool and snort coke till 7 in the morning? I AM open-minded, but I disagree. I see no reason for revision. I could start a YEARLY INCOME poll.....

$5,000 a month is not rich.  Thats only $60k a year.  Sure it seems like mad money to some people.  Hell, I remember a time when I thought that if I made $50k a year I would be wealthy.  I'm not saying that 50 or 60 a year sucks, but it is far from "wealthy".

Trust me, people making $60k a year aren't sitting around drinking mai-tais by the pool of their mansion while supermodels suck coke off thier dicks!!  Most people in that income range earn it by working hard, long hours at a job they have spent years building a successful career in.

Oh, and BTW....I don't have a swimming pool and I can't afford a coke habit. :smirk:

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. ~ Albert Einstein

This brings up and interesting point about belief systems. I can't remember where I read this, but if you dig around you'll find it...

People with more than a certain number of kids, making less than 20K a year were asked how much money they would need, just to survive. The same question was asked of bachelors making upwards of 70-80k yearly. The low income fathers said that they could get by on much less than the bachelors. In other words, the guys making all the money, got to that point because they believed they needed more just to survive. That, to me, says alot about how a point of view can change a reality.

Quality of living increases as income increases. When I first moved out on my own and was supporting myself, I was making about $1k/month take-home and surviving fine. I bring home about twice that now and I'm still broke as shit. Funny how it all works out....

You get more bills/things, etc. People making 40k+ are going to buy a home and have a car payment, and that alone will bring the leftover income back down to the 20k range at best.
