believe me waterbed heaters are ment to shut down if they get soaked not short out they would not be allowed by the govt if they didnt and ive had it happen cause one morning i woke up thinking i pissed myself but there was a small pinhole in the bed n my heater just shut down so they must have a fuse or safty breaker inside them

And don't forget that it is closed in a box (fridge), which I use to my advantage against fire hazard. :smirk:
