PreFabricated Air Exchange/humidifier "Amazing Find?"

Hey, does anyone know much about this air exchange system... http://irie.tc/uscico/product.php?xProd=150&xSec=4&jssCart=49e20a6c8ae2088503bdd49769c4fee3
I am looking for the easiest fool proof method i can find that i will be able to use for the long run.. Let me know if you have seen one of these in use and how it runs.. Right now i am going to be starting my first grow and currently am looking at the Poor Mans Pod. I just saw this and was wondering if this would be a better idea for the long run.. Hell, it is about the same price as a humidifier and you don't have to mess with the 2 liter bottles or anything.. I don't know? Good idea? Or worthless waste of money. Remember, the key is for this grow to be as maintenance free as possible.. So I'm sure this thing would be on a timer to run maybe 3 times a day.. The thing i like the most is that i would think id just use perlite in the bottom of the tank instead of going out and buying geolite for the PMP I don't know... Could this save money in the long run? Let me know! Thanks-------Helge

Wow, that looks like a good find man...you can probably do with out but if you're into the gadgets then that looks like one to get. I'm bookmarking that page for further note...ty for the link! You can probably use that in conjunction with your PMP, bolster the RH effects. I'm using perlite in my PMP at the moment supplemented by hand misting...still unsure of the level in RH, these wal-mart hygrometers can't read worth a damn.

Hey, just so you know, the $50 thing includes an air pump and the cheaper one at pet discount doesn't. Thought I'd point that out.

You can build one (or several) of those for for just a few bucks.
All it takes is a hack saw, drill, some perlite, 4 inch PVC, 4 inch PVC Caps, bubble wand for fish tank (or air stones)& tubing.
They will give you some air exchange & humidity in a SMALL TIT - PMP, or whatever.
For anything bigger - you want to modify a COOLMIST type hummer. Simple, foolproof, VERY effective & cheap. Just tour a few thrift stores. You can often find coolmist (or coolmist clones) for a couple bucks each. Takes no genius to add some PVC pipe & pipe air/humidity anywhere - you want.

So how exactly is that thing built. And for the thing found at Petco would that be the only thing needed? Instead of an ultrasonic and a fogger

FYI "TropicAire" is sold at Petsmart for $6.99. Petco sells the exact same one for $19.95. (Pumps not included with either)

If it has a big enough pump and your martha is air-tight, probably.

I bought one of these from PetSmart a couple of years ago. Used it for quite a while in a 16 gallon tub with the type of air pump recommended for the PMP system. It kept that at 100% continually. I did still fan though but I wasn't sure I had too. I still use it when I will be away for a few days to help with air exchange.
