afoaf has two straw logs in a terrarium with pearlite. im going hiking for the next four days, and i wont be fanning that whole time. will things be cool if i just leave the terrarium lid cracked open, do you guys think there will be enough air exchange?

I was faced with the same situation...just birthed my cakes and found myself packing for the next five days. I actually birthed them a few days b4 i left so I had time to make a PMP...came back to little shrooms poppin' out! It's better to be able to fan of course but the bubblers making O2 is better than nothin'.

Turn it into a PMP. Then you wont have to worry about it. Or find someone to do it for you.

well, unfortunately i dont have the time to make a PMP, nor the money for supplies. i guess ill just be cracking the lids and hoping for the best.

You might lose too much humidity cracking the lid. How about drilling some holes and stuffing with PolyFill while you're gone?

Leave it uncracked. Keep humidity before air, in this situation.
