removing foil?

i have 12 pf jars that are about 70 to 80 % colonized. They seem to have slowed down alot. Would it be a good idea to remove the foil lid now for better air exchange? I dont have any tape over the holes but i do have a dry verm. layer. Will removing the foil make my jars more prone to contams?

No, that's what the verm barrier is for.  There shouldn't be ANY tape or foil covering your jars!  Get rid of the foil.  :eek:

patience. it could be from lack of moisture. give it time and if it doesn't fully colonize without any signs of contam just cut uncolonized oart out and fruit. good luck

You don't need any foil or tape after inoculation.
