fresh mushrooms vs. dried mushrooms

has anyone else noticed any differences between trips after eating fresh mushrooms as compared to dried?
the experience i've had with fresh mushrooms seem to have been more 'enchanting'. it feels almost like the prossessing of the mushroom (drying/grounding/etc) takes some of the personality away.
i am having trouble describing the difference in sensations (no one ever said language was boundless ), but if this makes sense to anyone who may have also noticed i'd really like to hear your thoughts. thanks

Fresh mushrooms are about 90% water, though dosing fresh mushrooms can be unreliable, as water content can very.

Psilocin breaks down rather quickly and easily, dried mushrooms lose most of it. Big affect on the trip/onset/experience. Theres still plenty of chemicals in dried...they're just, different. Plus the whole varied water content thing.

Either way isnt the psilocin going to break down before it hits your bloodstream?

I eat fresh whenever I can. For some reason it feels right... i guess. I'm not sure it's just better for me. Not everyone can eat them fresh though, but I love the taste of mushrooms.

i cant eat nearly as many fresh as i can dehydrated so i never trip as hard as i want to when i eat them fresh. Dehydrated they are so easy to eat and i cant tell any difference in potency so its is my preferred method of ingestion.

The fresh ones do feel like "ajna" said more enchanting. I think it may just be placebo... yea probably is, but idk, it just seems better. I think I've seen more colorful visuals with fresh though im not completely sure.

ckyrock, i had wondered if it was a placebo effect. perhaps hunting, picking and caring for your shrooms before dosing causes you to almost give them a personality, which you can then interact with while tripping.
i guess the trip feels a little more like what the victorian period depicted; fairyland almost!
i found a heap of what i hope are blue meanies today. as i care for them, i hope to have an enchanting experinece tonight!

The psilocin breaks down when it dries, its more unstable then psilocybin. Psilocybin, once enters your body, is turned into psilocin for your bodys use though, and then breaks down in your bloodstream.
Fresh mushrooms will have the psilocin they were grown with still though, giving you a more immediate kick and a whole different feel to the trip.

I think dried are SAFER.
Just by chance, if you happen to have some mold or "bad stuff" hitch a ride on the shroom that's fresh - it would definately die, and be brushed off, after being exposed to a long dry-out period. Would hate to bad reaction or allergic freak-episode to something funny that came with the fresh shroom.
I take year-old shrooms that rock the house.

One thing that I have noticed about the differences is that the peak of a "dry trip" is more exhausting, it really makes you feel like lying down. This is confirmed by a couple of my friends, all experiencing the same thing. With fresh mushrooms the peak isn't as "tiring".

Ive always noticed less of everything under the influence of fresh bombers ( Cintulus ) but dried Cubes really did me in.. Im not sure if its just the potency levels of the Subbs were extremely low or if i went on a binge and took em for too many days in a row or what it is.. Ive never had dried Cintulus's so im working on that now

How poetic. Fresh mushrooms have two distinct psychedelic chemicals; dried mushrooms only have one thus the qualitatively different feel. The end.

Drying concentrates the taste more, so fresh ones taste better. Fresh ones are a little more potent than dry ones. Those are all positives!!! Some people don't like the texture so that can be a con. But if you like to eat edible mushrooms as much as I do, the texture just makes it fleshy and much more awesome!!

I am by no means disputing what you have said and by am no means an expert when it comes to mushrooms however when it comes to how drugs work etc etc I know a lot and I was under the impression that psilocybin is quickly motabilized by the body to psilocin so how would this make the difference in feel as you would always be under the influence of psilocin as I doubt a healthy body would have no trouble breaking all of the psilocybin down in no time at all???
Or am I missing an essential big of information when these chemicals/compounds mix with human chemistry???
