a little more about air exchange
    #3935100 - 03/18/05 12:28 PM (12 years, 8 months ago)

What would you guys recommend to do? I have a ten gallon rubbermaid container stacked on top of another and I have a fish tank heater in between the two. For humidity I have wet perlite and nothing else. I can get 70-86 degree heat and 86 percent humidity. What should I use for air exchange. I don't want to do the manual method of fanning, I would imagine all that light would confuse the mycelia.
My question now is what exactly do I go to the store and buy for air exchange?
I've been only piecing together tidbits of info from posts and not getting a full story from the begining.

When people use the ultrasonic and cool mists humdifiers, do they put the whole thing into the terrarium or hooks tubes up to them?
Do i need any of those if I use perlite?

With the air bubbler, Do I put it in a glass of water on top of the perlite? I need an air (hepa) filter hooked up to it right? How does the co2 exit the terrarium with an air bubbler?
Thank you for your help

here is my set-up. purchased at wal-mart for 60 dollars. terrium and incubator

4 - 56qt. tubs. I got the blue kind cause shrooms love blue light

2 - 5 to 15 gallons submersible water heater with thermostat. (very important to spend a little more for the one with a thermostat)

pack of 3 - plexi cutting board for light through the top.
