Hello everyone, I have a couple of questions that I can't find the answers to. I have searched the forum and If you have any negative comments about my questions you can use the BACK button NOW!

1. If a wild mushroom pins and grows to maturity, how long will it exist before it rots and disappears?

2. Does mycelia show on the outside of cow dung before mushrooms pin?

3. At what temperatures do cubes grow after lots of rain and temperatures no lower than 55 degrees f?

1: it varies on many elements. mushrooms stop growing, then start rotting. the speed of which is comparable to anything that dies and rots.

2: not nessisarily, and generally no. mushrooms tend to grow from under it, but generally pins form below the crust

3: ???? huh

3 Cubes grow in lots of temps, I think i saw a couple pics of cubes in snow, It all depends where you are.

1.) theres no way to tell, but i have observed a pin in a field that i wanted to wait for to grow to full height. i returned 2 days later to find that it was gone (either from dying or being picked). i have repeted this, and found that cubes will grow from a pin to almost full maturity in ~18hr.

3.) Cubes will grow at the very least ~45○F (check the temp. on the weather channel [check the dew point more importantly, if the dew point is below freezing you will find nothing]). you said LOTS of rain, but a lot of rain is not always good (especially not flooding).
