It's alright. I grew up here, so it has a love/hate relationship, with me. We are about to move outta here, though. We may be back, but who knows?

I saw gas for 1.95 at a bp near here. I speculate it would be cheaper at this other place up the highway thats normally a few cents cheaper then city prices.

What a nice walk down memory lane. I'm paying $4.70 for a gallon of diesel around here. I get about 500-600 miles per tank, but it's still a good ol' fashioned bend-over-and-take-it.

Average price for regular is $4.05 gal and rising almost daily. I drive 30 miles round trip to work every day. This is getting out of hand. A tow truck driver I know has to pay at least $5.00 gal for diesel. He had to raise his prices to help cover the cost. How much higher can it go?

I expect prices to stop rising at around 5$ per gallon. There's no scientific basis for that claim, but that seems like a number where we may actually wake up and start changing the way we use fuel. I hope.

But it's not just us. China and India are now using fuel like never before. And that demand is going up fast.
Here's a scary thought: China has only 38 million cars on the road.

I'm loving my Prius... $35 every 10 days or so. 40 mile commute.
I kinda feel bad for people who need to drive trucks. Not the morons who own trucks for no reason other than to own a big truck... I laugh at them.
But the honest construction guy who NEEDS to haul around a ton of shit, I feel bad. It's like they got you by the balls...
Anyone convert to propane yet?

In my city gas is currently $1.33 CDN/liter
Which works out to $4.98 US/gal.

Here it's currently A$1.48/litre. According to google:
Quote:
1.48 (Australian dollars / litre) = 5.37 U.S. dollars / US gallon
Owned.
