Never seen one, but why would you deprive your senses. I imagine I'd go insane in a place like that, especially if I were tripping.
If anyone finds a link on this post it, I'm pretty interested in what these are

Use google. There's nothing you need to know that you can't find on google. Well, basically.

Ever tried choking your self till you passed out in a pool of your own urine?
That's not fun.
But what your saying is. But you can achieve the same thing in a pitch black bathroom and enough Epsom salt to make you buoyant in the bathtub water. If you're not to long for the tub.

i dont think u can achieve the same thing in a home tub because in a tank u cant hear any external sound. personally it is a subject im interesting and from what i hear it is prett awesome. by depriving ur senses ur mind begins to halucinate.

I don't agree. I think being able to block out all your senses would provide the best environment for meditation. There'd be nothing to distract your mind.

I've floated a few times and it's pretty amazing. The place near me has closed, but a new place has popped up in a neighboring state. I'm planning on visiting soon. I will definately build or buy one (tank) when i have my own place.

I have done this. The halucination is more like the shapes you sometimes see after you look into the sun. Purple and red changing to green and blue. Then you just start daydreaming. It was fun, you should try it.
$60/hr is a bit steep.

WTF you talking bout? A sensory deprivation tank is not a "hallucinagen". What's your definition of natural? What's your definition of right?

thx weedbread and adjust for the input. u both seem to think its worth doing. i know $60 is steep but i live in nyc so everything here is steep. theres a place for 50 on long island but thats further away 4 me. joe rogan was saying u have to do it a few times to get the hang of it. he said u have to learn to just lay there and let go, not itch yourself every few moments. did u find it to be more effective after the first few times? is it scary or just pretty peaceful?
