mature adults

how do i know when i have mature adults that will start to spore?i heard they will drope them and the glass jar will turn a difrent color under them, also do i have to keep my shrooms i want to become mature adults seperate from the ones im going to eat?

When the caps are about flat out, it's ready to drop its spores. This happens relatively quickly so when you see a shroom that is opened up all the way, pick it and get a spore print off of it.
