also i was out in the woods today with my friend and i found this shroom that had a reddishbrown cap and rusty red to purple gills with a reddish brown stem any ideas on what this was?

Coprinus disseminatus is a worthless lttle mushroom. Check for a blackish sporeprint and a translucent, pleated cap.

You prolly found some other worthless lbm.
