recase after first flush with overlay? Pic
    #3926132 - 03/16/05 05:26 PM (11 years, 8 months ago)

Hey all,

I apologize if this has been answered already somewhere on the depths of the archives, but I've been searching for about 3 hours now and have yet to find a definate answer.  I just picked my first flush which was great (about 40 grams dry, Thanks Magash and Scat for the help before  ) but I really tore the hell out of my casing picking all of them since it was pretty colonized and nothing wanted to come out easily.  So now that its time for the second, I know I want to dunk it since its really dry but should I recase the whole thing or should I scratch it or remove the old casing and then recase after dunking or should I just patch after dunking? The casing is essentailly completely colonized.  Also, if I recase, do I need to incubate again since the mycelium has slowed its growth due to being in fruiting conditions for 2 weeks? or will it colonize the new casing regardless.  I'm very confused.  Thanks
