Want to get started with edible mushies. Need a bit of advice.

I've played with the illegal kinds, now I want to start with some edibles. I'm pretty interested in Lion's Mane. How hard is this for someone who has a fairly good grasp on cubies? Any other bigginer or must try species/strains that I should try? Any advice before hand?

lions mane needs only some woodbased substrate and a pressure cooker. go for it

the standard advice, btw, is "oysters are easiest"

What kind of taste do oysters have? Are fruiting conditions about the same for both?
