Knocks on his door...

tap tap tap

Enter answers the door with a shocked look on his face.

The interview commences...

Q: Can I come in?
A. Hell no....Let's do this outside.
Of course. C'mon in. But take your shoes off you filthy Westerner.

Q: Why are there so many serial killers from Washington State? I'm from there by the way...sure you want me to come in?
A. Washington State is a place where rain falls frequently....(/thinks)....and ummmm people get seasonal depression disorder. They either have to kill themself or kill the person next to 'em once this disorder

gets the best of 'em.

Q: What am I going to see when I walk inside your door?
A. You'll immediately notice my truck's grocery/gear storage holder thing -a- majig which I disassembled to save gas money. (Don't give me that look like I'm cheap, pal, or we'll head right on over to your house

and see what kind of free mugs are in your kitchen cupboards).

Q: What kind of decor is this?
A. I call it: Enterism, a combination of plain walls matched with an all-too-noticeable void of furniture and other necessary household items. You will notice there are no chairs in here except the wooden stool.

Please - have a seat on the floor while I hover over you.

Q: What kind of music is that playing in the background?
A. None. You must have synesthasia, my brother.  Are you trippin'?
I no longer own a stereo or CD player by choice. For the past several years I have tried to live a rather simple and ascetic life. I don't own a computer, nor a tv, nor a radio. If I had it my way I would eventually live

like mankind did before electricity was invented.

Q: Tell me a little about yourself? Keep it short...I don't have all night!~
A. I'm a 28-year-old male. Introverted, untrusting, but religious. I spent most of my life in Michigan but now reside in Florida where the weather keeps me in a good mood if nothing else will. I like women but my

anxiety normally keeps me at a distance so a theme in my life right now is dealing with the fact that I want a wife but usually find myself in ball-less situations where I establish good eye contact then walk

away. If you knew me in person you would probably note that I have a lot on my mind but not in a negative way. I'm just quite serious by design I guess.

Q: What do you do for a living?
A. Like several others, I'm a techie. "Technical support" to you though, capt'n.

Q: Do you enjoy your life?
A. As most people will tell you, life has excellent moments and not-so-excellent moments. If I were to be honest I would have to say that I can envision a world in which I am much happier. But as I write this I do

have a smile on my face and do consider myself quite blessed and well taken care of.

Q: Do you like the color of my car? It's Black Currant.
A. My truck in black so, yeah, cool car.  Can I take it for a spin?

Q: How did you find the Shroomery?
A. One day a few years ago I was going thru a challenging time in my life. I was looking for answers, for meaning, for purpose. I was very, very jaded over the fact that life seemed incoherent for most humans

(when asked about why they're here or "is there a God" most people have a very not-so-deep answer). And anyway, I wanted my life to mean something. So I remembered how mushrooms had once provided me

with a religious experience that forever changed me. I thought "This is what helped fix me then, maybe it can help fix the situation now." So I searched the net and found this place.  I was happy and paranoid at

the same time. I believe I clicked on the link to this site while at Sporeworks.com .

Q: Have you ever grown any mushrooms?
A. Yep. There's nothing like having your own homegrown Shiitakes.

Q: Have you ever taken any mushrooms?
A. I am definitely a fungi connoissuer. I enjoy mushroom soups, mushroom burgers, mushrooms in my salad, fried mushroom caps, etc. As far as the higher fungi go, I occassionally have been known to sample

them and highly enjoy them.  Although I admit its been quite awhile since my last voyage.

Q. Have you ever gone out mushroom hunting? Find anything?
A. I have and in fact I can tell a little bit of a funny story about this. The first time I ever went hunting I broke my wrist in half immediately after hopping a fence incorrectly. I had to crawl/limbo  while barely

maintaining consciousness underneath the fence and I drive myself to the hospital.  I waited a couple hours while everyone stared at the wrist bone almost piercing thru the skin on my arm (the bone had

literally broken in half). They gave me darvocets and told me I needed to see a special doctor for xrays and surgery.  Long story short: I ended up having wrist surgery and wearing a metallic bone-holding brace

for a couple months. That was a humbling experience to say the least.
It gets better.
The second time I went mushroom hunting I at least successfully hopped the fence. Unfortunately I did this with a friend in broad daylight. Within about 4 minutes a large suburban with "SHERIFF" written on it

pulled up behind my car and I could see the guy from the field. My heart sunk. "O" for f'ing two. By this time I had already collected a fair amount of fungi in a grocery bag and began to empty the bag gradually as I

walked toward the officer who was grinning. After a bunch of questions I was eventually searched, cuffed, and placed in a cell until my buddy bailed me out.
And another time....
The third time I went hunting in the middle of the night with a different friend. It had rained a ton the prior week and the field was quite soaked. We ended up finding no mushrooms whatsoever. When we exited

the field we had to hop over a 9 ft fence (approximately) and I gashed my hand open by grabbing a rough edge of the fence. At least I didn't get busted.
I have not returned to a field since.  Nor do I plan to.

Q: And if you have taken any...in what way have they influenced you or changed your life?
A. I know for a fact that psilocybes are here by divine design. They are a bitter but spiritual food. I could probably type out a book's worth of information if I were to tell of my ventures with mushrooms, but

now'a'day I keep this stuff pretty personal now. Mushrooms, when taken at the proper time and in the proper place, can be considered a powerful medicine, "moksha" as Aldous Huxley wrote. On the other side of

the coin, the government whom I must submit to has condemned me by illegalizing mushrooms. Society has also labelled me without specifically labelling me. They can take their tylenol and have abortions

and I can't eat a harmless lil mushroom. Go figure.

Q: Do you have any Spiritual or Religous beliefs? Care to share?
A. I am definitely a Christian although I do not currently attend a church or affiliate myself with a set of creeds. I believe in the existence of God and I believe in having a  personal connection with Him. I also

believe that God is within us and without us.  One other note: I believe that there are other Christians out there who truly think of themselves as followers of the Lord and they do great good in this world, like

feeding the hungry in Africa and Haiti, bringing in doctors to places where there would otherwise be no medical attention, creating programs to help educate people for jobs, etc.

Q: Are you married or single?
A. Single and hurtin'.   You do happen to have a sister,  Roadkill?

Q: Do you wear boxers, breifs, or go el natural?
A. Hold up, brother. You're a dude. Dudes don't ask other dudes this. Now if your sister is askin'.....that's a different story....

Q: I'm sorta thristy...got anything non alcoholic to drink?
A. I have brandy & herb tinctures but no official alcohol to offer you at the moment. I have bottled water if you'd care for some(?)

Q: What is your favorite type of food?
A. I recently changed my diet significantly but I enjoy a wide range of foods. I suppose Italian (pasta dishes) would be my favorite. I am also a Starbuck's addict. Chocolate is my friend too.

Q: Is there any food in the frig?
A. Not much but yes. There is left over extra firm tofu, 1/4th of an organic purple onion, maple syrup, tahinii, apple cyder vinegar, salad dressing (italian), and perhaps one or two other items. Yes, this means you

are definitely going to taco bell for dinner tonight.

Q: Are you or have you ever been a Vegetarian?
A. About 4 weeks ago I officially began a vegetarian diet. However, I did eat some fish one night and may incorporate that into my diet from time to time. But I am going to try to keep it vegetarian otherwise.

Q: Ever attend College? What did you study?
A. I am officially a three time repeat dropout. /sigh    Three different colleges / three different drop out experiences. I just don't click with most teachers. On a brighter note, I currently earn more money in one

year than the avg American household combined. My original intention was to study psychology and political science. Both proved utterly boring. I found more stimulation by walking and listening to music than

I ever did at a formal school.

Q. Are you a Republican or Democrat (or what have you)?
A. I am a registered Republican but I do not consider myself a Republican officially. Politics are something that I try to stay out of although I read CNN and MSNBC almost every single day, sometimes reading

several articles each day. I have only voted once in my life and it was the last election. I vote for W. Hopefully, karma will cause him to legalize at least the cubies for my sake.

Q: Ever smoke any weed? Did you inhale?
A. Nonsense. This criminal plant should be scorched from the Earth forever.
Ummm. Yeah, I smoked for the first time as a freshman in college while in the woods. It, too, is a medicine when taken in the proper amount (less is more) and only on occassion. IMO it should not be taken every

week let alone every day.

Q: Ever do any LSD?
A. Yes, although its been several years since I've seen any around. I had a couple of rather wonderful experiences while in college with it.

Q: Have any Hobbies?
A. I'm currently studying medical herbalism at a slow, comfortable pace. I hope to eventually obtain a couple of certifications down the road but we'll see.

Q: What was the last book you read?
A. I'm still reading "Growing 101 Herbs That Heal" by Tammy Hartung. Good book btw.

Q: I understand you enjoy writing? What do you like to write?
A. Poetry. I dig poetry, brother. /ponders on writer's block

Q: What is your overall opinion of the Shroomery?
A. Love it most days. Used to get frustrated though. I see much more potential in this site than others do perhaps. The nice thing is that everyone's welcome (except puppets and flamers and rip-offs). Its a place

where people can dialogue in written format and talk about a subject that nearly all sites stay away from: psychedelic mushrooms and entheogens. I wish the administrators would raise enough money to

commission a couple people to design the site in a way that truly captivates anyone who types in the URL. But - yeah, this site is a lot like an Internet home for me.  I sincerely appreciate those who are here and

those who will arrive in the distance.

Q: What do you see in the future for the Shroomery as a whole? Your opinion.
A. Honestly? I see sporewars and contention between admins. I foresee a battle over power -  and following this, an implementation of several suggestions that users have put forth. The Shroomery will

eventually generate enough income for at least two admins to live fulltime from it. Eventually, information will accumulate as to "what do mushrooms do to us?" and this site will serve as a beacon and a home

to those that have questions and want to share their side of the story- moreso than what currently is discussed. Love will also increase. Friendships that are strictly Internet-based will last. We will build each

other up and respect one another despite having different angles/perspectives on life.

Q: If you could be an Admin for a day...what would you do?
A. I would ask the other admins what they wanted to do but never did, and then write up a Plan of Success and  try to pull it off with their help. I would ask for well-established members for their immediate

assistance in redesigning the front page and other pages to outdo Erowid and any other site dealing with psychedelic mushrooms. The design of the site and the structure of it is key for demonstrating our

"spirit" and our vibe.

Q: If you had one wish...anything...what would you wish for?
A. A beautiful, youthful wife who can cook too. That would make me happy.

Q: Did you ever think anyone would try and interview you?
A. Actually, Cherrybomb beat you to it, brother. About a year and half ago she interviewed me in OTD I think.  I believe the thread got deleted though.  But your questions were superior I think.

Thank you for the interview Enter!~  - No, thank you!
/hands Roadkill a little herb for the road....
