Rhizomorphic Case?

Just wanted to know if any cultivator has ever had his top layer of (coir) casing with the below facts:
1. Long white strands (over a 1/4 of an inch) of mycelium (I think this is called Rhizomorphic?)all over the place in like groups of ten. 2. 5th day in PMP 3. CAMBOS 4. 90% humidity...74F
What does the above mean? Any effect on pinning or yield?

Straight 'coir" casing cover is a bit prone to "overlay".
However, sounds like yours is doing fine. Rhizo turns into primordia, pins, then shrooms. Pic's would help

Sorry about being unclear....its a coir/verm layer....so those long strands are the very first inital stages of pinning?

I assume cased substrate is exposed to light? If so ..... next rhizo will turn into hyphal type knots, then pins.

I have a tray that has been fruiting for 4 days very highly rhizomorphic mycelium on top, this morning I went to check on it and I have primordia everywhere now rhizomorphic mycelium is the best type for fruiting, Do you have "the mushroom cultivator" by paul staments? There is a very good chapter in that book about this very same subject
