Casing pinning on side (picture)
    #3915479 - 03/14/05 09:54 AM (13 years, 2 months ago)

So I checked one of my 3 casings today, the one with clear sides did what I feared and started fruiting on the side  :mad2:
What should I do now?

Cover the sides with non translucent material i.e. black electrical tape....tin foil etc....this will let the mushes know to grow up instead of to the side......

thanks, I'll do that for now, but can I take the casing OUT, and just lay it in the terrarium so there is more for the mushrooms to grow?

That's a good way to dry out your casing in a hurry, I'd leave it as is and try to prevent future flushes from side pinning.
