Anyone? Little dry? Good reading?
    #3913219 - 03/13/05 09:51 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

I've posted a few times on a good hygrometer. I'm now on my 4th hygro since I started this a few weeks ago. I wanna see if anyone HAS this same hygro or KNOWS if it actually works. I bought it at a cigar shop like I was told, it was $40 so I figured it would be top end but because I still keep getting the 99%RH when the chamber and my casings seem drier than that, it's making me iffy.

This is the actual hygro in the chamber reading 99%
And here is the chamber... correct me if I'm wrong (because this is my first casing) but I spray twice a day and the RH is "99%", doesn't this look a little dry?

I'm on day 6 of the fruiting phase. Does it look like it's going properly? Please I really need help for these, it's my first time. I've bought 4 hygros trying to make sure everything goes right.  :frown:

Your casings definitely look dry.

Thanks! I needed someone to tell me that... so misting from like 2 feet above the casings won't hurt the mycelium right? How many pumps do you usually give with a small spray bottle... I just gave like 20 fine mist sprays...

I am just doing my first casings, but i spray 10+ times. I try to watch for a color change on the top of the 'soil'. It gets a bit darker as it saturates. One casing flushed pretty good the first flush, so it seemed to work ok.
