Goin to the bar/club alone?

There's this music club here in town. My roommate is always down to go visit it, but I'm only interested in the open mic jams they have thurs + fri nights. None of my other friends are interested in music/checking it out. But my roommate conveniently goes home every thursday for the weekend. Thus no one to go check it out with.

I've considered heading down there by myself to check it out, but I don't want to be that guy in the corner drinking alone hah.

What do you guys think? Ever gone to a bar alone?

yeah, i've definitely gone to many bars to see music by myself. i don't see anything wrong with it. if its a good show, i like to do my own thing anyway, rather than talk to people and get trashed. it is fun with friends as well, but you should see good music whether you have someone to go with or not.

I usually don't do it...but what is the big deal anyway, I usually run into someone I know anyway, I would do it...

I am always at home in a bar/club. If I don't go in with any friends then I usually have some new aquanitances before I leave.

I agree. Old friends hold me back from new friends. It may sound silly,, but old friends influnce the way i act, I might go alone tonight and check out the city.

I often walk alone open to what ever comes my way.
