I don't think this is stressed enough. The set and setting are basically what is going to make you have a good or bad trip. It is KEY to a good time. The set and setting is where you will be tripping at. I recommend having a house all to your self. Don't ever do shrooms when someone is in the house that would not approve. This will lead to paranoia and/or getting caught. Just have a relaxing atmosphere. If you start to get uncomfortable then just change the "set and Setting" Doing that can put you in a totally different mind setting, often for the better.

Don't you mean time and setting or mindset and setting? Anywho i get what you mean.
It's terribly important. The setting is what makes you comfortable. If you are not comfortable you won't enjoy the experience because you are too worried about other things.
It's also what you're going to be looking at and how cool it will look when you are on a trip.

set is state of mind. mindset. setting is the setting... the environment one is in.
... though i guess set could be called a part of the setting.
set and setting are key whether one is tripping or not.

I agree with Toddo here. One must eventually develope a flexibility in setting. I have found that a number of different settings are more than acceptable even when others would find them hard to deal with. At one point, I feel, experience allows the mindset to more or less overrule setting. There are, however, certain settings I will not place myself in during a trip. One of these is nightclubs. The deep, dark scary woods, however, are a different story. That is primarily where I trip when alone. I suppose the point of all of this is to draw attention to the fact that you will have to find a range of settings (and a range of mindsets as well!), to find various combinations that are appealing and illuminating. You must plan when and where you are going to trip and approach the whole process with intent and consideration.
