Ligher flames are too hot for THC, thats why we have the vaporizer. But I love my pipe, and blown glass bongs and bubblers, that I'd rather smoke a kickass looking hunk of glass than a bland, boring vaporizer. So I was thinking the other day while smoking I should manufacture the Vapolighter. It's a lighter sized heating element, much like a soldering iron. It only heats up to the vaporizing point of THC, just like a vaporizer. So instead of touching a scorching flame to your herb, you can hold a gently warming Vapolighter. So you get the benefits of a vap, with the awesome look and feel of glass.

I can dig it. If you make it, I would buy it.

Okay it may touch a little but you don't need to suck the entire flame into the bowl.

I'm gonna have a hard time trying to make a handheld heating element that heats to 190 degrees celsius. I made a vap out of a soldering iron and a glass dome back in high school. I might just try a soldering iron, wire a dimming dial to it and test it till it heats to 190 degrees. But that's work, and it takes money, so yeah..... maybe sometime later...

Heat guns, the ones for r/c airplane building, work perfect. You can even get them small enough to fit the bowl on your bong/piece if you want. They're like $20 at hobby shops

i've had a couple lighters in the past that just had a little 'coil' type thing like the ones in old hair dryers....yeah, that thing would just get real hot, but no flame. same concept i think....you should try to find one of those.
