Senate Passes New Bankruptcy Legislation.
    #3899771 - 03/10/05 09:48 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

The Senate passed legislation Thursday that will make it harder for Americans to rid themselves of debt by filing for bankruptcy.

The House is expected to pass the measure next month, delivering to President Bush a second victory this year on pro-business legislation he had sought.

The vote was 74-25 to approve the most thorough overhaul of bankruptcy laws in a quarter-century

We have "reckless fiscal policies"

America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership.

Americans deserve better

i am for Responsibility. but i am not sure about this new legislation.

what about the credit cards responsibility???

i know people who have filed for Bankruptcy more than once!

WHY ARE THE BANKS GIVING THEM CREDIT AGAIN??

part of the new legislation compensates the credit card companies for part of their loss by the FEDS.

fuck them. (credit card companies)
